Really loving the color on this piece so far. Even what is apparently a fairly monochrome setting is always full of color, its just very subtle hues of reflected light. I still have to figure out whats going on with the landing pad complex. I'll try to finish this tomorrow, provided I can stay away from Star Trek Online.

The one thing my old computer had that my new one doesn't: lots of specialized Photoshop brushes. I spent a lot of time building up a custom brush palette in my old computer. I had a lot of fun tonight on Ustream. Setting up my computer to broadcast was pretty easy. Despite all the memory-leeching technical hurdles of streaming live video, the biggest challenge of the evening was keeping my Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 fastened on my desk's swing arm lamp. The new computer - dubbed the IsoCore - is alive and purring like an LED encrusted kitten. This is the computer I've been planning for quite a long time. I really loved the new Star Trek movie. I wouldn't say I'm a Trekkie, exactly, but I've always been a pretty big fan. I always loved the Borg, but they were never quite freaky enough. I always imagined the cybernetic parts would contort the biological parts in weird, uncomfortable looking ways.
